Loading as an energy source

Recover up to 30% of energy in the case of forklift trucks by reducing use

In the case of mobile machines, the concept of recovery of kinetic energy during breaking is catching on. However, the approach of also using the loading in mobile machines and industrial trucks, such as forklift trucks, for energy recovery is new. The example of the electric order picker/three-way stacker EKX from Jungheinrich shows that through regenerative lowering, up to 30 % of the energy used in the power due to grade can be recovered.

Everyone's talking about hybrid drives. Even in the case of mobile machines, the concept of recovery of kinetic energy is catching on. However, the approach also using the loading in mobile machines and industrial trucks, such as forklift trucks,
for energy recovery is completely new. The example of the electric order picker / three-way stacker EKX from Jungheinrich shows that via an intelligent lifting mast control, up to 35 % of the energy used in the power due to grade can be recovered. The machine manufacturer developed a special system for this purpose together
with a development partner.
