Becoming a Systems Supplier with innovative Components
In the past months, WEBER-HYDRAULIK GmbH, the internationally leading and renowned specialist for hydraulic cylinders, has undertaken strategic reinforcement by means of acquisitions. Apart from the Fluid Team Automationstechnik GmbH in Konstanz, LOG Hydraulik of the Bavarian city of Unterahrain is now also part of the WEBER-HYDRAULIK Group. Thereby, WEBER-HYDRAULIK extends its spectrum of competency into the areas of hydraulic valves, control blocks and power units in a targeted manner.
WEBER-HYDRAULIK is thus in the outstanding position to be able to combine not only cylinders but also cylinder-related systems into complete solutions from a single source. In the new business area system technology, customer-specific requirements to the corresponding vehicles, systems or plants are broken down into the respective components and specific parts. Thereby, it is of decisive importance that all components of the hydraulic plant are adjusted to these requirements and brought together by ways of in-house development and manufacturing facility to produce a highly-efficient and cost-effective system solution.
This system competency is particularly applied for hydraulic solutions in
- Utility vehicles,
- Agricultural vehicles and construction machinery,
- Mobile cranes,
- Material handling vehicles,
- Communal vehicles and special-purpose vehicles of all sorts
- Industrial hydraulics and environmental technology
From the idea to the development and layout down to the introduction into serial production, WEBER-HYDRAULIK is available as a technology specialist for instance in the areas of handling systems, pivoting, tilting, and lifting systems as well as steering and suspension systems for chassis units and cabins.
This strategic orientation of the company is expressed in organisational terms in its management. WEBER-HYDRAULIK, under management of Bernhard Herzig as the Managing Director, is now based on the three business areas Serial Cylinders, System Technology and Rescue Apparatus. Dr. Martin Giersch (Sales and Engineering) jointly manages the business area Serial Cylinders with Klaus-Dieter Deckmann (Operations). Dr. Richard Käsler, a proven systems specialist, has taken on the business area System Technology as of mid-2007. The area Special Cylinders in Losenstein is directly allocated to System Technology and complements the orientation towards systems supplier for cylinder-related solutions together with the LOG Hydraulik and Fluid Team in an ideal fashion.
The WEBER-HYDRAULIK GmbH with head office in Güglingen is 100 % -family owned and employs more than 1000 employees at several locations, both domestic and abroad. The turnover planned for 2007 is in excess of 170 million Euro.
